Overall, the Canon Pixma Pro9500 printer is an excellent choice if you frequently use matte as well as fine-art type of papers for your prints. Print quality in such formats is superb and better than many other major brands in the segment. However, this will only work to its advantage if you have the latest drivers installed. In terms of prints on high gloss paper, the results are not that impressive. With a pricing of around 850 USD, the Canon Pixma Pro9500 printer may not be the cheapest choice, especially when compared to the 700 USD PhotoSmart Pro B9180 from HP. Yet, these Canon printers deliver well and are a good choice for certain print types.
