I was talking with a good friend and she told me a story of her exposure to cloth diapering. At a friends house, she witnessed a complete blowout where the cloth diaper did not absorb or hold anything in. The baby was then placed in the toilet for the usual 'dunking' of baby to wash the mess up.

Prefold cloth diapers are one of the least expensive ways to diaper a baby. A prefold consists of several layers of fabric, with extra layers in the middle where the diaper needs it most. Some parents use inexpensive prefolds just as burp cloths or rags, but if you want to use them for diapering, you’ll need prefolds that are high quality.
